Muscat – Royal Oman Police have launched an investigation into a tragic maritime incident after a boat carrying a group of international tourists capsized. The vessel was carrying 25 tourists of French nationality, in addition to a tour guide and the boat’s captain, when the accident occurred.
The incident has resulted in the confirmed deaths of three tourists. Emergency response teams from the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority were immediately deployed to the site to provide critical assistance. Two other individuals sustained minor injuries during the capsize and received on-site medical attention from the responding ambulance crews. Official investigations are currently ongoing to determine the specific circumstances and causes that led to the fatal accident.
