Muscat – SalamAir has issued a formal statement addressing recent social media discussions regarding ticket prices on the popular Muscat to Salalah route, reaffirming its long-standing dedication to providing budget-friendly travel options within the Sultanate of Oman. The airline highlighted its consistent focus on low-cost pricing, noting that promotional offers launched in November 2024 featured Salalah fares starting from just RO 9.99, a move that benefited over 30,000 passengers during 2025 alone. Beyond these temporary promotions, the carrier continues to offer discounted year-round fares for Omani citizens on domestic one-way flights to ensure that travel remains accessible even during peak demand seasons.
In a significant move to support internal tourism, the airline confirmed that it capped round-trip ticket prices at RO 48 during the 2025 Khareef season to facilitate easier movement for all citizens. To meet the growing demand for domestic travel, SalamAir is actively working to enhance its operational capacity, with plans to increase the number of flights this summer by up to 10% compared to the previous year. This expansion is designed to provide more passengers with the opportunity to secure the lowest available fares. Through additional initiatives like the “mOVEmore” subscription programme, SalamAir continues to focus on making air travel more convenient and economical both within Oman and across its broader regional network.
