- A Florida father, whose daughter was allegedly harassed by her teacher, is speaking out
- Yaniv Rosenberg alleged that Colby Erskin, 39, sent a selfie of himself naked to his daughter, who was 15-years-old at the time
- Rosenberg is now facing charges in connection with the alleged incident
The father of a Florida high school student spoke out this week after a teacher who allegedly tried to groom his daughter appeared in court to face charges.
The alleged victim’s father, Yaniv Rosenberg, claimed that former teacher and football coach Colby Erskin sent a selfie of himself naked to his daughter, who was 15-years-old at the time, and attempted to groom her, NBC6 reported.
"From 'do you need help in math?' to 'you look cute,' to sexual comments, to 'do you want to hang out?' to 'can I see you after the football game?' to freakin’ naked pics of himself," Rosenberg said, per the outlet.
"What do I say to my daughter?,” asked Rosenberg. “Stay away from f---ing scumbags.”
Seminole County Sheriff's Office
Rosenberg said Erskin was his daughter's math teacher last year at South Plantation High School, according to WESH.
The school could not be reached for comment.
Erskin, 39, has been charged with use of computer for child exploit and transmission of harmful material to minors. He was released on $250,000 bond and must now wear a GPS monitor, have no victim contact, no use of any internet devices and no contact with any students or staff from South Plantation High School, according to theBroward State Attorney’s Office.

This comes after he was arrested in Sanford, Fla., about 30 miles outside of Orlando, on Thursday, Feb. 5, by the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, WESH, NBC Miami and FOX 25 reported.
According to the outlets, Erskin coached football at Mount Dora High School in Lake County at the time of his arrest. NBC Miami reported that he previously coached at South Plantation High School.
Lake County Schools told the outlets that Erskin was immediately let go from his job after his arrest.
“Mr. Erskin, who was hired less than a month ago as our football coach, was dismissed from his position (Feb. 5) after we learned that he had been arrested on a South Florida warrant for allegations that do not involve any of our students,” the district said in a statement, per Sports Illustrated.
“We are cooperating with law enforcement and encourage anyone to come forward if you have anything to share regarding Mr. Erskin," the district added.

PEOPLE reached out to the law firm representing Erskin, which stated the ongoing legal matter is "in its earliest stages."
"Out of respect for the process and everyone involved, it would be inappropriate to comment on specific allegations at this time," said Adam Rossen, CEO of Rossen Law Firm. "We believe it’s important to allow the facts to come forward through the proper legal channels rather than through media speculation.”
Attorney Abigail Langweiler added, "Our role is to ensure that the legal process is handled fairly. We are committed to protecting the rights of our client while also being mindful of the seriousness of the situation and the impact it has on all individuals and families involved. Everyone deserves fairness, due process, and respect.”
