Terraria’s 1.4.5 “Bigger and Bolder” update brings the allegedly final big changes to the game. Released on January 27th, it revitalized players’ excitement with Terraria, which came out back in 2011.
Here are some of the most riveting changes that arrived in Terraria, which all seem to revolve around enslaving creatures.
Terraria 1.4.5 brings Dead Cells and Palworld to the game
Two crossovers have arrived in Terraria: Dead Cells and Palworld. It’s a bit of a surprise for long-time fans of the game, but developers implemented the crossovers in a seamless way that fits into the world they’ve been creating for over 10 years.
For Dead Cells, the Beheaded outfit has been added to Terraria’s closet. Palworld’s Cattiva, Foxparks, and Digtoise can do chores for you. For example, Digtoise can mine through blocks. This plays on Palworld’s “animals as slave labor” theme.
Terraria 1.4.5 adds new weapons and combat
If imprisoned creatures aren’t your thing (fair enough), 1.4.5 also has a new ranged weapons (Barrel Launcher and Killing Deck) and new melee weapons. The Moon Lord whip, Stardust whip, and many more whip builds are also here.
New abilities have also been added to Terraria, including The Swarm grenade skill, Wings of the Crow, and more.
Oh, there’s also a Mushroom Staff for summoners, which will call in a minion called the Mushroom Boi. So yeah, another imprisoned creature.
New mounts come to Terraria in 1.4.5
Want more enslaved creatures? Terraria has heard you loud and clear. There’s now a velociraptor, bat, rat, fairy, and roller skates at your beck and call.
You can also get an Axe Fairy that harvests wood and a Pufferfish (leaked years ago) if you need even more pets doing your bidding.
Terraria 1.4.5 building and furniture
Okay, now you gotta do some stuff yourself. There are new furniture sets (Gothic, Modern, Moon, Pine, Cloud, Metal, Book etc.), honey-coated furniture, CRT televisions, arcade machines, and more. You’ll need to do the interior decorating yourself, no Pals or Pufferfish.
There is also new functional decor, like a Health Fountain.
Terraria slimes in 1.4.5
Terraria 1.4.5 has brought new slimes to deal with. Moonglow Slimes plant herbs, Dart Trap Slimes shoot darts. There are also slimes that glow, haul, and jump higher.
And yes, you can enslave slimes if you really need more creatures without free will to make you happy. Well, if you have the Slame Staff.
