The Eagles' offensive coordinator search continues into its third week, and after some disappointment and uncertainty, an intriguing and familiar name just entered the conversation and is now a potential dark-horse favorite. Adam Schefter reported that the Eagles will hold a second interview with Packers QB coach Sean Mannion for their offensive coordinator job.
The second interview is a clear development, with no reports that the Eagles have offered the job to any candidates or conducted second interviews with anyone outside Mannion. A fast riser in the coaching profession, Mannion was hired to Matt LaFleur's coaching staff as an offensive assistant working with quarterbacks under Tom Clements. LaFleur promoted Mannion to quarterbacks coach in 2025.
Mannion is widely credited with playing an instrumental role in Malik Willis's development, who went from a bust in Tennessee to the most valued free-agent quarterback available.
A former NFL quarterback and 2015 third-round pick, Mannion, 33, played four seasons with the Rams, three seasons with the Vikings, and one season in Seattle with the Seahawks as a backup quarterback.
Mannion appeared in 14 games with three starts and threw for 573 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions.
