Muscat Nights circus offers children more than entertainment

Muscat – At the circus zone of Muscat Nights 2026, entertainment is being used as a tool for learning, led by a young Omani who believes that curiosity can be nurtured through simple explanation and direct engagement.

Abdulrahman al Mashani, an employee in the circus zone at Oman Automobile Association, spends his time guiding children through the experience, explaining performances and activities in clear language suited to young audiences. Rather than limiting his role to crowd management, he helps children understand what they are watching, encouraging them to ask questions and take an active interest in the shows.

Mashani explains key elements of circus performances, including balance, movement and coordination, while highlighting the importance of teamwork among performers. His approach allows children to feel involved in the experience rather than watching passively from the sidelines.

This educational interaction complements the circus, which combines traditional circus acts with modern performances. The shows feature international artists specialising in motorcycle stunts, acrobatics, aerial displays, balance acts and sleight of hand. Performances are supported by visual presentations using three-dimensional hologram technology, adding a modern dimension while maintaining the focus on live performance.

Away from the main stage, children are guided to an educational activity area where they take part in astronomy- and space-themed experiences. Mashani introduces basic scientific concepts in an accessible manner, encouraging imagination and curiosity. The activities include drawing, colouring and handicrafts, reinforcing the value of creativity alongside learning.

One of the most popular activities is beekeeping, which attracts strong interest from young visitors. Mashani explains the role of bees in environmental balance and the importance of protecting them. The session encourages interaction, helping children connect environmental information with real-world examples.

As their visit ends, children leave the circus zone with smiles and new questions. For Mashani, the goal remains clear: to ensure that Muscat Nights offers not only entertainment but also meaningful learning experiences that leave a lasting impression on young visitors.
