Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Wizkid thrilled fans with a surprise appearance at Gunna’s headline show during the Detty December Fest at Ilubirin, Lagos.
The international collaboration came to life on stage as the duo performed their track “Forever Be Mine” from Gunna’s 2025 album The Last Wun.
Blending Gunna’s trap flows with Wizkid’s signature smooth Afrobeats vibes, the performance marked the second live rendition of the track, following its debut in Washington, D.C., in September.
Fans erupted in excitement as the pair showcased seamless chemistry, creating one of the festival’s standout moments.
The event was also highlighted by performances from Jamaican dancehall star Shenseea and Nigerian singers Fave and Tiwa Savage, adding more energy and variety to the festival lineup.
The appearance capped a monumental week for Wizkid, who also delivered a sold-out concert on December 28. Fellow Nigerian music star Olamide praised the superstar’s efforts online, further amplifying the excitement surrounding his performances.
The festival underscored Afrobeats’ growing global influence, as artists continue to bridge musical styles and captivate audiences both in Nigeria and abroad.
