They might have kept their relationship largely out of the spotlight, but Jennifer Aniston couldn’t resist taking to social media over the weekend to give her followers a peek into her first Valentine’s Day with new partner Jim Curtis. The Friends actress sent fans into a spin after appearing to ‘soft launch’ the relationship last September —but this latest update left them in no doubt as to how the romance is going. Taking to her Instagram stories, Jen shared a snap of her holding a box of Sweethearts candies with the words ‘cutie pie’ splashed across the front. Jim can be seen, blurred in the background, smiling and looking down. The adorable snap comes just days after the author and life coach took to social media with a romantic gesture of his own. Jim Curtis has wished Jennifer Aniston a happy 57th birthday.
Because having gone Instagram official on his 50th birthday last November, Jim subsequently returned the favour on Jennifer’s birthday on February 11. He marked his actress girlfriend turning 57 by sharing two loved-up new snaps – one of them on a boat and the other of them kissing – with the caption ‘HBD MY [love heart emoji]’. Awwwwww. Jennifer – who was previously married to Brad Pitt from 2000 until 2005, as well as being in a relationship with actor Justin Theroux from 2011-2017 – first hinted at a new romance last summer. The actress caught the attention of her followers after she posted a series of photos on Instagram, with one picture revealing the back of a man’s head. The mystery man was later revealed to be Jim Curtis. (Picture: Presley Ann/Getty Images for ELLE)

The couple went Instagram official in November, with Jennifer posting a black and white photo of them embracing to mark his birthday. ‘Happy birthday my love. Cherished,’ she posted whilst also tagging his account. Jim responded to the post with a kissing face emoji, while Justin Theroux, whom she has remained friends with, also liked the post. And while fans might have watched the pair’s journey unfold via social media, Jim recently opened up about his relationship with the actress – and how they first got together.(Picture: jimcurtis1 / Instagram)
Speaking on The Today Show, where he was promoting his new book The Book Of Possibility, Jim said: ‘We were just introduced by friends. That’s it. We found out that we had mutual friends and we started to just chat…it took a long time, we chatted for a long time and we became close.’ When asked by host Craig Melvin how long they had actually been together, he remained vague – but did say ‘A long time, months now, close to a year.’ (Picture: James Devaney/GC Images)
Meanwhile Jennifer recently spoke about the beauty of dating a ’normal’ man, opening up to Elle Magazine about Jim’s work. ‘Hypnotism is one of the many things that he does,’ she said in the interview. ‘He’s quite extraordinary, and helps many, many people. He’s very special, very normal, and very kind, and wants to help people heal, move through their trauma and stagnation into clarity. It’s a beautiful thing to commit your life to.’ (Picture: Michael Kovac/Getty Images for ELLE)
