EastEnders spoilers follow for Tuesday’s (January 13) episode which is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) is on the warpath after discovering the truth about who was to blame for his spiking ordeal.
The former restaurateur, as viewers know, was drugged by Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) on behalf of son Harry (Elijah Holloway), who desperately wanted revenge for what Ravi had put him through.
Last year, Harry was forced to sell drugs by Ravi, with his best friend Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) dragged into the world of criminality as well.
Ravi subsequently installed Okie (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu) into their flat to handle the day-do-day dealing but the newcomer later took over operations and, against Ravi’s wishes, he kept Harry prisoner and got him hooked on drugs.
Harry later secured his and Kojo’s freedom but Teddy (Roland Manookian), determined to protect his son no matter the cost, took the fall for Okie’s death.
Unable to move on in the wake of what transpired, Harry resolved to get revenge, with mum Nicola assuring him that Ravi would pay for what he did.
The nightclub owner made good on her promise, spiking Ravi’s drink last week.
Disoriented Ravi subsequently walked the streets, unaware he’d been drugged, and he ultimately attacked his own son Davinder aka ‘Nugget’ (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury), believing him to be dead dad Nish (Navin Chowdhry).
After collapsing in the Square, Ravi woke up to learn Nugget had been rushed into surgery and, piecing things together, he worked out that he was to blame for his son’s ordeal.
Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) was horrified by the revelation but thought it best that they withhold such information from Nugget.
Nicola, meanwhile, set in motion a temporary escape plan for her, Harry and Barney (Lewis Bridgeman), suggesting they go to her sister Gemma’s while the heat dies down, hopeful that Ravi wouldn’t work out that they were inadvertently to blame for what happened to Nugget.
