Muscat – Oman’s real gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 2% in the third quarter of 2025, reaching RO9.9112bn, compared to RO9.7129bn during the same period in 2024.
Preliminary data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) indicated that the growth was largely driven by a 2% increase in the value added of non-oil activities, which rose to RO7.3032bn by the end of the third quarter of 2025, compared to RO7.1599bn in the corresponding quarter of 2024.
At the level of economic activities, construction recorded growth of 1.3%, reaching RO1.0348bn. Wholesale and retail trade activities also increased by 1.3%, contributing RO830.5mn.
Meanwhile, public administration and defence activities registered growth of 1.5%, reaching RO932.5mn in the third quarter of 2025.
Oil activities grew by 1.9% to RO3.0676bn in the third quarter of 2025, compared to RO3.0104bn during the same period in 2024. Crude oil production rose by 2%, reaching RO2.5548bn in the third quarter of 2025, compared to RO2.5057bn a year earlier. Meanwhile, natural gas activity increased by 1.6%, registering RO512.8mn, up from RO504.7mn in the same period of 2024.
