Muscat – In view of recent developments in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Foreign Ministry has reaffirmed the Sultanate of Oman’s principled foreign policy, underscoring its full support for international law and its respect for the sovereignty and independence of states.
In a statement, the ministry called on all parties concerned to exercise maximum restraint and prioritise dialogue to prevent further escalation and achieve reconciliation in a manner that serves the security, stability and safety of the Venezuelan people, while respecting their legitimate choices.
The ministry also reiterated Oman’s full support for efforts led by the United Nations to safeguard international peace and security.
