North Batinah – Municipality has issued a formal appeal to the community to end the practice of dumping waste in public spaces, citing significant risks to both the environment and public safety. The local authority emphasised that the disposal of refuse in non-designated areas is a negative behaviour that directly contributes to environmental degradation and undermines the welfare of the residents.
In line with the goals of Oman Vision 2040, the municipality is encouraging a collective effort to maintain the cleanliness of communal areas. The initiative aims to foster a sense of shared responsibility, urging citizens and residents to contribute to a safe and sustainable environment for all. By keeping public spaces clean, the municipality believes the region can better achieve its long-term health and safety objectives while protecting the natural beauty of the governorate.
