Lifetime’s 2022 movie, a true-crime dramatisation of murderer Melanie McGuire’s story, is now available to watch on Netflix. It retells the 2004 killing and dismemberment of Bill McGuire, whose remains were found in three suitcases washed up on Chesapeake Bay, an estuary bordered by Maryland and Virginia. His wife, a fertility nurse named Melanie McGuire, was charged with his murder and sentenced to life in prison. She will not be eligible for parole until she is 101 years old.
