Katie Price has hit back after neighbours reportedly expressed ‘concern’ about the state of her mansion.

The former glamour model, 47, previously lived in a sprawling Sussex home, which she purchased in 2014 for £1.35million. It was dubbed the ‘Mucky Mansion’ due to the litter and debris surrounding it, as well as its somewhat derelict state.

Katie had hoped to renovate the dilapidated property as part of a TV series, but she moved out in March 2024 after reports surfaced that she had been served an eviction notice due to financial issues. She has always denied being kicked out, describing her time living there as a ‘hellish ordeal’.

The reality star, who recently split from boyfriend JJ Slater, now resides in a fancy converted barn near Horsham, West Sussex, which costs £4,500 a month in rent.

And while the mum-of-five has only been there for a few months following a short spell in another rental, it’s said locals have already been branding it an eyesore.

Aerial photos show various cardboard boxes and rubbish bags surrounding the exterior, with sources claiming she ought to be ‘careful’ as the owners ‘won’t stand for any mess’.

It’s believed that the barn is owned by developers Mark Hogan, 59, Gary Hall, 58, and Andrew Allen, 61, of the firm Brasii Manco (Lodge Farm) Ltd., which specialises in transforming derelict buildings, specifically barn conversions.

‘She does not own this property, so she needs to ensure it’s kept up to standard,’ the source added to the Daily Mail.

‘People living here are concerned leaving piles of rubbish outside the house may attract rats, and therefore that becomes an issue for surrounding properties.

‘Katie can’t treat the exterior land like some sort of dumping ground.’

The images were captured on Wednesday, and 24 hours later, the rubbish was still there.

However, Katie has denied allowing her current home to fall into disrepair again, calling the reports ‘really disappointing’.

‘I’ve seen the article circulating about my new home and the rubbish that was outside and honestly it’s really disappointing to see it being turned into a story without the full picture,’ she shared on social media.

‘After the Christmas break, there were a few bags and leftover boxes that hadn’t been collected yet, it was simply Christmas waste waiting for the bin collection like many families have.’

She further insisted that the waste has now been ‘cleared up’, stating defiantly: ‘There’s absolutely no truth to the idea that I’m letting my home become dirty or neglected.’

Despite all the drama, though, it seems like Katie herself is a hit with her neighbours.

An elderly resident said of her: ‘I’ve seen her in the village. She seems very friendly, and as long as she fits into the way of life round here, then I’m sure she’ll be very welcome.

‘I think people are always looking for her to take a step out of line.’

Moving to this property marked a fresh start for Katie, who said she only had ‘bad memories’ of living in her original Mucky Mansion.

She insisted it was her choice to leave the mock Tudor home, which she bought from ex-Tory peer Francis Maude, refuting claims that she was evicted due to failing to keep up with her mortgage payments.

Speaking on her podcast earlier last year, she said: ‘Everything is going so well for me.

‘Moving house, being in this house, it’s the best thing I ever did, was move from that house.

‘When I drive past my old house, I get a knot in my stomach, my anxiety, my brain is like a flip chart of all different memories.’

She added that the house became a ‘trigger’ for her: ‘It’s weird how a house can torment you mentally.’

The house was sold in December 2024 after Katie was declared bankrupt for the second time. She shared her joy in March 2025 when the bankruptcy was ‘discharged’.

Alas, she didn’t reap any monetary benefits from the house sale, having been forced to slash the price by £150k from £1.5m to chip away at her debts.
