The Traitors star Adam, 35, who was the last to be murdered on the BBC show, has revealed details about the ghost he saw in the castle.
While the other Faithfuls might have been reading in bed, taking showers or working out in their bedrooms, Adam was ghost-hunting.
It’s been a hobby of his since he was a kid: ‘Since I was at 8 I have seen spirits.’
He told Metro that he spotted one ‘out of the corner of [his] eye’ at Ardross Castle who was ‘suited and booted’, and followed him up the stairs.
Sam, 34, the latest Faithful to be banished from the show, joked that the only supernatural existence he felt was ‘Adam breathing down [his] neck every now and again.’
The pair, who described themselves as ‘day ones’, spoke about about their time in the murder mystery game.
When talking about his encounter, Adam explained you’re never on your own when walking around the castle: ‘So, obviously, someone left me at the bottom of the stairs, and someone joined me at the bottom of the stairs to walk me up the stairs to go get ready for a mission.

‘And, I turned around to say thank you, as I always do, Dad taught me well, and there was no one there.
‘So, I was a bit confused, and I said to the lady at the top of the stairs: “Where did she go?”
‘She went: “Who?” I said: The lady that followed me upstairs.”
‘She went: “No one followed you upstairs.”‘
Adam claims she ‘wasn’t responding’ but he chatted to her about the mission as they walked together.
But this wasn’t an ordinary ghost sighting for the builder, who said he was ‘thrown off’ because they were wearing clothes ‘that someone would wear in this day and age’.
The 35-year-old thinks it needs looking into: ‘I need to book the whole castle out and do a proper investigation.’
Of course, the only investigation going on right now, is the search for the remaining Traitors before they get to the prize money.
Fans have been left shocked that the Faithfuls aren’t sussing out Rachel, after Fiona accused her of lying before she was banished as a Traitor, and Harriet sacrificed herself to help the case against the murderous player.
While it might seem plainly obvious to viewers watching at home, Sam said it wasn’t so simple inside the castle: ‘Rachel’s so good at staying consistent.
‘Throughout my time there, she always came across to me as a very observant person that was trying to figure stuff out.
‘So whenever you talk to her, you’d feel a little bit like: “I need to prove myself to Rachel that I’m Faithful because she’s a Faithful.”‘
Adam agreed she was a strong player: ‘She battled off Fiona, she battled off Harriet. She does deserve to win.’
This series has seen twists and turns for the viewers and players alike, from the mystery player in the red cloak, to being able to talk to the Traitors as Faithfuls, there’s been a few, and fans think there’s even more.
A couple of the shocks have involved secret revelations, of jobs and professions, and also family members.
The latter provoked so much online speculation that people began to think everyone was secretly linked, but this wasn’t on Sam’s radar.
As an example of ‘how much your brain messes with you in there’, Sam recalled his hypothesis: ‘Because we know that there have been links on previous seasons in the past, and then they put a family tree right in the main entrance, I genuinely thought it was all a red herring and there’s no links at all, so my brain kind of just switched off from that.
‘I had no suspicions.’
Adam says he was ‘blindsided’ by the connections: ‘Ross and Ellie, I wouldn’t have put them together because I spoke to Ellie about this, and I spoke to Ross about this, and, you know, they just both said: “No, we ain’t got no one [in the castle].”
‘I was like: “Fair enough, that’s squashed, done.”‘
Regardless, they both made it past the half-way point – but now it’s back to work for the account manager from North Yorkshire, and the builder from Essex, who said it’s been good for business.
‘Its when I go to the wholesalers and places like that, I get spotted, and people are like: “Oh, can you come and build me a kitchen?” […]
‘I get a lot of messages online, like: “How would you have done this? Does this look good? Does this look okay?”‘
Admittedly, Adam loves the attention: ‘Don’t get me wrong, I get a massive head.’
But both said they thought the experience hadn’t changed them too much.
‘I don’t change for no one,’ declared Adam.
On their gameplay, both wished they’d embodied more of the other player’s tendencies.
Sam reminisced: ‘Looking back on my game, I was very outspoken at the start, and that probably raised some alarm bells.’
Whereas Adam says he was ‘building up to it’.
‘I think I just left it a little bit too late.’
If he’d had the chance, Adam said he would’ve had one request for The Traitors: ‘I would have asked them if I could investigate the turret.’
The Traitors returns tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
