Martin Odegaard has missed Arsenal’s Carabao Cup semi-final against Chelsea due to a minor injury.
Odegaard was brought on as a substitute in the second half of Arsenal’s 4-0 win away to Leeds United on Saturday but Mikel Arteta has revealed that his captain suffered a ‘niggle’ during the match.
Arsenal are at home to Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday and Arteta says the Norway international will undergo further tests this week.
When asked about Odegaard’s injury before kick-off against Chelsea, Arteta said: ‘He felt a niggle during the Leeds game.
‘We tried yesterday but he wasnât comfortable. So letâs see if heâs available for the weekend.’
