According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, Alabama Crimson Tide assistant defensive line coach Jamey Mosley is expected to be named the new defensive line coach of the Stanford Cardinal.

A former Alabama linebacker, Mosley has spent the past few seasons in Tuscaloosa following the conclusion of his playing career.

Mosley spent five seasons from 2014-18 with the Crimson Tide as a player, where the linebacker racked up a total of 21 tackles, 4.5 TFL, two sacks, and two pass defenses. A two-time national champion in 2015 and 2017, Mosley also went undrafted in 2019 following his time at Alabama, and never appeared in a NFL game prior to starting his coaching career.

Alabama's coaching staff has also seen a few 2025 assistants depart the program this offseason for different jobs elsewhere, as Mosley joins former wide receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard and quarterbacks coach Nick Sheridan. Shephard is now the head coach at Oregon State, while Sheridan is the offensive coordinator at Michigan State.
