The Auburn Tigers look to extend their win streak to four games when they play the Texas Longhorns on Wednesday night. Auburn will have an advantage by returning to Neville Arena after two games on the road. Auburn enters the game with a 13-7 overall record and 4-3 in the SEC. The Longhorns are 12-8 this season with a SEC record of 3-4.

Unlike in their previous game at Florida, KenPom is giving Auburn the edge in this matchup. They have the Tigers winning the game by a close margin of 83-78 and a 68% chance of winning the game. Despite their conference record, Texas has played impressive basketball this season. They have defeated Alabama, Vanderbilt, and Georgia for their three conference victories. On Saturday, they defeated Georgia 87-67 and outscored the Bulldogs 57-30 in the second half after trailing 37-30 at halftime. The key to their success is guard Dailyn Swain. He leads the team in scoring (16.9), rebounds (7.1), and assists (3.3).

For Auburn, they will need Keyshawn Hall to continue his level of play from last week. He was named SEC Co-Player of the Week with his performances versus Ole Miss and Florida. He scored 22 of his 24 points against the Gators in the first half and will look to have a more complete game for the Tigers. Tahaad Pettiford will be a factor as well, but more on the defensive end. Pettiford did a good job against the guards of the Gators and could get the defensive assignment versus Swain. The Longhorns are not great from beyond the three-point line, shooting just 33%.

Another interesting matchup for fans to pay attention to will be in the frontcourt. KeShawn Murphy has been playing well in SEC play and should have to contend with Longhorns center Matas Vokietaitis from Lithuania. He is second on the team with 15.1 points per game and 6.8 rebounds. Murphy is the type of player who has shown he is up to that challenge.

The Auburn Tigers will host the Texas Longhorns on Wednesday at 6 p.m. CT at Neville Arena. The game will be broadcast by ESPN2.
