In the aftermath, you've seen some of the top NBA names address what happened in Minnesota less than a week ago. Alex Pretti was killed by a federal agent on Saturday, Jan. 24.

The incident occurred just weeks after the death of Renee Good, who was fatally shot by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent on Jan. 7.

As the Oklahoma City Thunder prepare to travel to face the Minnesota Timberwolves for the first time since those killings occurred, Mark Daigneault was asked about how his team will handle the national incident that has overtaken the country's discourse.

“It’s obviously a very sad and unsettling situation there. It’s a great community we’ve gone to for years," Daigneault said. "Our hearts go out to that community that's there. They're obviously going through it right now."

Daigneault noted that the Thunder feel safe traveling to Minnesota. Since Pretti's death, there have been more protests and outrage over it in Minnesota. The Timberwolves had one game postponed. They were scheduled to play the Golden State Warriors on Saturday, Jan. 24. The game was moved to a day later.

"We'll organizationally handle the team as we always do internally," Daigneault said. "We wouldn't be going to a city if there was a safety risk as it relates to the league."

Chet Holmgren also addressed the Minnesota shootings. Considering he's from there, it hits closer to home for Holmgren than anyone else on OKC's roster.
