Coming out of USC, Jordan Addison was viewed as one of, if not the top, wide receiver prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft. The former Biletnikoff Award winner was taken 23rd overall by the Minnesota Vikings and was touted as the perfect running mate to Justin Jefferson. However, it has not always been smooth sledding for the former Trojan and Pitt Panther.

Through his first three seasons, he has recorded 175 receptions for 2,396 yards and 22 touchdowns. This is a very solid production from a former first-round pick. But we can not ignore the off-field issues. It makes you wonder if enough is enough.

The 23-year-old has been arrested three times in as many years and is becoming an off-field issue that might not be worth keeping around. Jordan Addison's first arrest was in 2023, when he was cited for doing 140 MPH on a Minnesota freeway. The following offseason, he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and was found sleeping behind the wheel just outside Los Angeles International Airport. Now, just two weeks ago, he was arrested on first-degree misdemeanor trespassing charges.

The answer here is clear: the Minnesota Vikings absolutely have to cut ties with Addison. He is becoming too big a distraction to warrant holding on to. With him entering a contract year this upcoming season, you definitely cannot extend him, so you need to try to get any trade value out of him while he may still have some. This class of wide receivers in the 2026 NFL Draft is solid, and you can find a talented rookie to step into his role for 2026.
