EastEnders’ Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw) makes a grand gesture to partner Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) next week by getting down on one knee – but their happiness could be extremely short-lived, as a bombshell revelation is set to ruin his proposal.
It’s been a hell of a few months for the couple, mostly at the hands of Ross’ incel son Joel Marshall (Max Murray), who violently attacked Vicki and left her for dead back in November.
The twisted teen is currently on trial for his crimes, but next week, fans of the BBC soap will see Ross and Vicki trying to put the court case behind them.
As he tries to get life back on track, Ross is busy setting up his own handyman business – but Vicki, meanwhile, is clearly still dealing with her feelings for Zack Hudson (James Farrar) following their secret kiss at the end of last year.
When she heads to the Boxing Den to see Zack, the pair share another charged moment, which Vicki’s recently returned brother Mark Fowler Jr (Stephen Aaron-Sipple) spies.
After Mark later spots Ross leaving the jewellers, Zack overhears a conversation between them that reveals Ross is set to pop the question to Vicki, leaving Zack gutted.
Meanwhile, concerned about the predicament Vicki could find herself in, Mark tells his sister about Ross’ intentions to propose, leaving her stunned.
She is then further confused when she sees Zack – who is wounded by Ross’ plan – taking a woman back to his flat, clearly in a bid to try and get over Vicki.
Well, you know what they say about the best way to get over someone….
After psyching himself up, Ross later gets down on one knee – but nothing can prepare him for the bombshell Vicki then drops on him.
Is she about to confess her growing feelings for Zack?
Whatever the details of her revelation, it leaves Ross angrily demanding answers – is this the end of the road for them?
