Two boys have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a teenager was found stabbed in woodland.
The victim, aged 15, was pronounced dead at the scene near Lido Road in Guildford after emergency services were called at 6.10pm on Monday.
While he has not been publicly identified, his family has been told.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward after the stabbing in a wooded area near Stoke Park.
On Tuesday, Detective Chief Superintendent Debbie White called on witnesses to come forward ‘as a matter of urgency’.

‘We appreciate that this incident will have caused shock and concern amongst our local communities, and we want to reassure you that we are working at pace to establish the circumstances of the boy’s death, gather as much evidence as possible and identify those responsible,’ she said.
‘Although the circumstances of the boy’s death are not clear at this time, this is a fast-moving investigation, and we are pursuing a number of lines of inquiry.
‘We would ask that people don’t speculate about what might have happened while we work through these inquiries.
‘A police cordon remains in place, and we respectfully ask that people stay away from the area while we carry out our investigation.
‘A significant police presence will remain in the area for some time.’
Leader of Guildford Borough Council Julia McShane said: ‘I am shocked and saddened at this tragic event.
‘The loss of a young life in this way is utterly devastating.
‘My heart goes out to their family and friends at this desperately sad time.’
Football club Guildford City, which has its home ground near the scene, posted a statement on X to say the club was ‘devastated’ at news of the boy’s death.
‘All of our players, coaching staff, board members, and volunteers send our thoughts and prayers to his family,’ the club said.
Local MP Zoe Franklin wrote on Facebook: ‘It is difficult to find words for this tragic and devastating news. My heart goes out to the family of this young man.’
