Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) is pregnant with Will Driscoll’s (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) baby in Coronation Street.
The newcomer, who is a sports coach, is currently grooming and abusing 16-year-old Will. Megan has successfully convinced Will that they’re in a romantic relationship, with Will oblivious to what’s really going on.
Everything plays out on Megan’s terms, which means Will is forced to sneak around in secret and lie to his dad Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) and stepmum Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) about where he’s been. According to the Driscoll family, Megan is helping Will become a talented athlete.
The situation for Megan changed completely last week when she discovered that she’s pregnant.
In tonight’s episode, Will found Megan coming out of the ladies’ toilets in the pub. She had a concerned look on her face, and then revealed to Will that she had started bleeding.
The two characters headed to the hospital, oblivious to the fact some of Will’s family members were also heading to A&E as well.
Eva and Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn) were at hospital as a result of Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) experiencing heart palpitations.
Eva found Will in the waiting room and immediately started mentioning his dad. She had no reason to be suspicious, so Will had to quickly cover and pretend that he had arrived at the hospital after receiving Eva’s voice note.
Megan wasn’t in the room at this point, which meant Eva was simply focused on ushering Will into another part of the hospital so they could wait for news on Ben.
A while later, Will found Megan in a ginnel and discovered that the baby is fine, she just suffered bleeding due to spotting.
She handed him a baby scan picture and Will smiled. He’s somewhat overwhelmed at the prospect of becoming a father at the age of 16, but ultimately seems ready to face the journey with Megan, completely unaware of the horror surrounding him.
As this dark story continues, how long will it be until other Weatherfield residents grow suspicious of the dynamic between Megan and Will?

Executive Producer Kate Brooks recently discussed how Megan’s story will affect some of the biggest characters on the Street once her secret is exposed, including Leanne (Jane Danson), her sister Toyah Battersby and Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan)
‘It is just the tip of the iceberg and we’ll follow the Will and Megan element quite closely. It’s a very important story to tell and we want to be as truthful as possible. As part of that story Sam will end up getting embroiled in it all. Sam is semi-related to the pub family and he potentially gets wind that something’s amiss.
‘We will see the lengths that Megan will go to manipulate Sam into keeping quiet. It’ll be massively detrimental to Sam’s wellbeing’
