Coronation Street’s Tanisha Gorey has been inundated with lovely messages following the news she is engaged.
Tanisha, who is 24, has been with partner Lucas for some time. They bought their first home together in 2022.
Still on cloud nine after the proposal, Tanisha decided to share some snaps on her Instagram over the weekend of what Lucas had planned for the life-changing moment.
In a hotel bedroom, red and silver balloons cover the ceiling, with ‘I Love You’ ones decorating the back wall.
So cute!
Lucas had also organised a huge bouquet of flowers for Tanisha as well.
The couple enjoyed a ‘Just Engaged’ cake, with pink icing and hearts decorated around it.
In her carousel of pics, Tanisha has also shared a sweet one of her and Lucas, with Tanisha showing off her ring in the selfie.
‘Brb still crying’, Tanisha wrote in the caption.
The comments section on her post are full of heart-warming messages from Tanisha’s friends and Corrie co-stars.

2025 for Tanisha’s soap character Asha Alahan was incredibly difficult. The character works as a paramedic, and began to struggle with the pressures that come with the job.
On top of this, Asha had to say goodbye to twin brother Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain), who left Weatherfield for a new life in India.
Asha’s story saw her attempt to end her life. After recovering in hospital, Asha returned home but after realising she was still struggling, she decided to go to a mental health facility.
Asha received help there, and was visited by the likes of Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) and friends Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby), Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) and Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher).
The young woman was discharged, and found herself among the people helping residents from Corrie and Emmerdale caught up in the multi-vehicle collision at the start of the month.
