A star of the new season of Celebrity SAS has admitted he wet himself just minutes into the show.
Following the premiere of the civilian series in 2015, the celebrity version of the Channel 4 series launched four years later.
The show follows famous faces who are put through their paces by chief instructor Billy Billingham and his team of directing staff, as they try and achieve SAS selection.
This time around the series has a brand-new twist: a gang of Brits will be pitted against a bunch of Australians in a test to find which is the ‘greater nation’.
The line-up of 14 stars includes Dani Dyer, Graeme Swann, Brad Hodge and Ryan Moloney.
One of those also competing is swimmer Mack Horton, 29. The decorated Australian athlete is an Olympic gold medallist, World Championships gold medallist, and 4-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist.
Although he’s used to performing under pressure, Mack has now revealed how his bladder couldn’t quite hold up as soon as filming began.
Alongside MAFS Australia star Jessika Power, 33, and Gladiators legend Toby Olubi, 38, Mack recently spoke to the Daily Mail and other media at a virtual press junket, where he explained exactly what happened.
While it might seem like he was terrified of what he was about to face during the selection process, Mack simply said he was ‘just busting to be honest’.
‘When we were up on the dam I put my hand up because I had to go to the bathroom and no one came, and I was like, “whatever. Who cares at this point?”,’ he recalled.
But holding back laughter, Toby chimed in and revealed that this happened ‘only 10 minutes in’.
However, addressing Mack, he went on: ‘None of us realised because obviously there was something far greater in front of us. But I just remember you telling us that happened but none of us realised whatsoever.’
Sharing potentially too much information, Mack then added while giggling: ‘It was huge as well. It went or like a minute and a half. It was outrageous.’
After this confession, the trio then went on to share what it was like taking part in Celebrity SAS.
‘I would say is very much immersive,’ Toby shared. ‘So, you do feel like you’re there, and you don’t feel like you’re on a TV show very quickly, because there is, there’s no one’s talking to you, apart from the DS team, so you’re left there just to your own accord with your team.
‘But they do make it feel like you’re really in the whole process, and they do a good job of it…
‘And that’s why you get Mac p***ing himself, I guess.’
He added: ‘There’s a lot of suspense, so you don’t know what’s coming up next, which really does take a toll on your sensory system. So, then there’s also sensory overload, because even though, like at the beginning, you’ve got this bag over your head, it’s hot, so you can feel the heat.
‘You’re trying to listen out to what’s going on, you can also sort of feel the gravel on your knees, you’re very much aware of all your senses, and they really do compound each sense to make you feel sort of overwhelmed, which is, again, the nature of the beast.’

They also went on to share that there were many shocking moments that didn’t make the final cut.
However, one that will make it to air shows Love Island star Dani – who was recently forced to quit Strictly Come Dancing due to a serious ankle injury – receiving a bloody nose.
During a boxing spar with Jessika, mum-of-three Dani didn’t hold back – but was left with blood running down her face.
Despite this, her fighting spirit left Billingham impressed.
‘Little Dani Dyer surprised me. Very small girl. She was very timid at the start, lacked a lot of confidence and didn’t really believe in herself,’ he said.
‘She never believed she could do it, but she could.’
Ahead of the series premiering, Dani said she’d been a ‘massive’ fan of the show for years.
‘I’ve always watched it and wondered if I could do it. I want to put myself to the test. I’m nuts, but I think I will be good at it,’ she said.
‘I’ll be completely out of my comfort zone. I just hope that I will be able to stop listening to the voices in my head and just get to the end because that would make me so proud.’
She added: ‘I think physically I’ve got this. Mentally is what I’ll struggle with as my brain attacks me all the bloody time. I just want to believe in myself a little bit more and stop being a negative Nancy.’
Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins returns tomorrow night at 9pm on Channel 4.
