Jeremy Clarkson has claimed that he has unlocked a new female fanbase thanks to the success of shows like his Amazon Prime Video series Clarkson’s Farm.

The 65-year-old broadcaster has been a household name since his days presenting on Top Gear and he appears to have won over a fresh wave of fans following the debut of his farming series in 2021.

Earlier this month, the Grand Tour star slammed Keir Starmer as being ‘hopeless’ and banned every Labour MP from his pub.

This came after he revealed that he would never take part in Celebrity Traitors ‘in a million years’.

But, speaking ahead of the launch of Millionaire Hot Seat on January 6, Jeremy was asked about the new fans he has acquired.

He said: ‘What was interesting is I went into Chelsea Harbour the other day. Now in the past, nobody would have paid me any attention.

‘But I’m now getting mobbed in there! Do I mind? No! It’s the women! I have never particularly had women fans before – now I have.’

Asked why he still continues to work at his age, Jeremy continued: ‘You would rot if you didn’t. I’m genuinely frightened because until March, I won’t be filming a TV show for the first time in forty years. That will be three months of s***.’

He also confessed that he ‘still gets nervous’ about the filming of his new shows, which he ‘puts his heart and soul into’.

What is Millionaire Hot Seat?

Millionaire Hot Seat sees six contestants compete in a queue around the Hot Seat.

Only the contestant currently in the Hot Seat can answer questions on the money ladder.

  • Answer correctly and you can climb the ladder.
  • Answer incorrectly, you’re out, and the top prize drops.
  • Pass and you stay in the game, but return to the back of the queue.
  • Passed questions must be answered by the next player correctly to stay, incorrectly and they’re out.
  • Only the top remaining prize can be won.

The presenter also disclosed how he has shed three stone since January, saying: ‘I still really look forward to going out to eat, but I am very careful not to snack on biscuits or anything like that too as that fills you up.’

The 65-year-old has been open about his recent health struggles on the series, and revealed that his farming crew will definitely be taking a short break after season five.

But as a result of his weight loss, he explained: ‘I walk further, I have got more energy and now I’ve got my stents in, I’m energised.’

Jeremy’s new Millionaire Hot Seat is based on the Australia format, which is a fresh take on the beloved ITV quiz programme.

Featuring six competitors in a revolving ‘hot seat’, the contestants must answer questions correctly to progress up a prize ladder.

If they answer a question correctly, they are allowed to move up the ladder, but a wrong answer will see them kicked out.

The passed question is then given to the next player who has to answer it correctly to stay in the game.

In a ruthless twist, only the top prize left on the ladder can be won and the player answering the question has to get it right to take it home.

Millionaire Hot Seat will air on ITV on January 6 at 7.30pm.
