Muscat – India Prime Minister Narendra Modi was bestowed with the Order of Oman, the Sultanate’s most prestigious civilian award, during a formal ceremony in Al Baraka Palace.

The honour was conferred by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik in recognition of the Prime Minister’s significant efforts in advancing bilateral relations and fostering a strategic partnership between the two nations. This high-level gesture coincided with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties, underscoring the deep-rooted historical and maritime connections that define the India-Oman friendship.

Both leaders engaged in comprehensive discussions aimed at expanding cooperation in energy, security, and trade, marking a pivotal moment in regional diplomacy.
