Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has received a written message from Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam. The message deals with the cordial relations and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The message was handed over to Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, on Sunday when he received Dato Erywan, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam, who is on an official visit to Oman.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the friendly relations between the two countries. They emphasised a shared commitment to enhancing existing cooperation across various fields to serve mutual interests, particularly in economic and commercial domains. The focus was also on developing partnership in the field of renewable energy, tourism projects, and infrastructure sectors including transportation, in addition to deepening cultural ties between the two peoples.
They also exchanged views on a number of issues and regional developments in both the ASEAN region and the Middle East, in addition to developments in the international arena.
