Beatles Biopic Cast Adds Lucy Boynton, Rings of Power Star & More

The Beatles biopic cast continues to grow, with four new members joining the massive cinematic event. According to a new report, the films, collectively titled The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, have tapped Lucy Boynton and three other notable actors to play key roles.

The upcoming films, each focusing on the iconic rock band’s illustrious career and eventual disbandment from the perspective of one of its four members, will be released in the coming months. Sony Pictures Entertainment, Neal Street Productions, and Apple Corps serve as the film’s producers.

Lucy Boynton, Rings of Power alum Morfydd Clark, popular Indian actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, and Industry star Harry Lawtey have reportedly joined the ensemble cast of The Beatles – A Four Film Cinematic Event (via Variety). All four films composing the cinematic event premiere on April 7, 2028.

In the films, Boynton will essay Jane Asher, an actress and the girlfriend of Paul McCartney, played by Paul Mescal. Meanwhile, Clark will portray Cynthia Lennon, the first wife of John Lennon, essayed by Harris Dickinson.

Farhan Akhtar will give life to well-known Indian sitarist and composer Ravi Shankar in the. At the same time, Harry Lawtey will step into the shoes of Stuart Sutcliffe, the original bass guitarist of The Beatles.

Previously announced cast members of the film include Barry Keoghan, Joseph Quinn, Saoirse Ronan, Anna Sawai, Aimee Lou Wood, Mia McKenna-Bruce, James Norton, Harry Lloyd, David Morrissey, Leanne Best, Bobby Schofield, Daniel Hoffmann-Gill, Arthur Darvill, and Adam Pally.

Keoghan, Quinn, Ronan, Sawai, Wood, and McKenna-Bruce play Ringo Starr, George Harrison, Linda McCartney, Yoko Ono, Pattie Boyd, and Maureen Starkey, respectively. Meanwhile, Norton, Lloyd, and Morrissey respectively essay Brian Epstein, George Martin, and Jim McCartney. Best, Schofield, Hoffmann-Gill, Darvill, and Pally portray Mimi Smith, Neil Aspinall, Mal Evans, Derek Taylor, and Allan Klein, respectively.

Sam Mendes, who directed critically acclaimed films like Revolutionary Road, Skyfall, and Oscar-winning 1917, helmed each of the four films. The rest of the crew members include cinematographer Greig Fraser, editor Lee Smith, and the production design team — Stefania Cella, Mark Tildesley, and Neal Callow.

Also part of the film’s crew are Sinéad Kidao (costume designer), Naomi Donne (hair and makeup designer ), Stuart Wilson (sound mixer), Giles Martin (executive music producer), Nina Gold (casting director), and Toby Hefferman (executive producer/first assistant director).
