This latest victory has marked 32 points for Orlando Pirates, going level on points with Betway Premiership leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns, who only lead with a two-goal advantage.
The Sea Robbers came out flying from the first whistle to pin Magesi deep in their own half.
Orlando Pirates needed just 15 seconds as Oswin Appollis fired an early shot that was blocked, before Tshepang Moremi wasted a golden chance inside the box in the first minute, shooting high and wide.
ENDLESS CONTROL AND DOMINANCE
The pressure finally told in the eighth minute when Appollis split the Magesi defence with a sharp pass to Relebohile Mofokeng, who calmly squared for Yanela Mbuthuma to take a tidy touch and hit a low finish home for 1-0.
From there, Orlando Pirates dominated possession and territory between the 10th and 25th minute, but the final ball kept letting them down.
The second goal eventually arrived just before the break. In the 40th minute, Mofokeng, who walked away with the Man of the Match award, picked up space outside the box and rifled a low shot into the corner, giving Elvis Chipezeze no chance and sending Pirates into the break with a deserved 2-0 lead.
Magesi finally showed some life late in the half, forcing Sipho Chaine into a comfortable save during their first attack.
SECOND HALF
The second half followed the same script. Orlando Pirates kept coming in waves, circulating the ball with confidence and forcing Chipezeze into a series of smart saves, while several shots drifted narrowly wide.
Substitute Andre de Jong should have made it three late on, before Masindi Nemtajela also missed a clear opening inside the box.
In the end, Orlando Pirates collected three points to move onto 32, level with Mamelodi Sundowns at the top of the table, separated only by a two-goal difference, though the Buccaneers hold a crucial game in hand.
