The weeklong freakout about Vanderbilt’s three-game losing streak after starting the season 16-0 is officially over.

After blowing out Mississippi State in Starkville over the weekend, the Vanderbilt Commodores came back to Memorial Gym and amidst Snowpocalypse easily handled Kentucky. This was a beatdown from start to finish, as the Commodores opened up a 7-0 lead early in the game and never looked back. The lead ballooned all the way to 43-23 at halftime and Kentucky never threatened at all, with the Commodores’ lead ballooning to as much as 28 before finishing with an easy 80-55 win.

It was actually somewhat jarring to see Kentucky completely outclassed like that. The Wildcats had entered on a five-game winning streak, which included a win at Tennessee, whose fans have been claiming all season that we haven’t beaten anybody and they couldn’t beat this Kentucky team at home. Kentucky shot 32% from the floor and committed 15 turnovers.

The Tylers, Nickel and Tanner, led Vanderbilt in scoring tonight with 19 points apiece. Devin McGlockton had 11 points and 12 rebounds; Chandler Bing also scored 11 off the bench. Vanderbilt goes to Mississippi for the second weekend in a row, which, fine, SEC office, do you just hate us or something?
