US President Donald Trump has sent his "love and prayers" to Australia as the nation reels in the wake of the Bondi Beach terror attack.
Speaking at a Hanukkah reception at the White House, Trump offered his condolences to those affected by the tragedy.
"Let me take a moment to send love and prayers to an entire nation, to the people of Australia and especially all those affected by the horrific and antisemitic terrorist attack," Trump said.

"That's exactly what it was - antisemitic - that took place in Hanukkah celebrations in Sydney.
"What a terrible, terrible thing, we don't learn.
"We're joined in mourning all of those who were killed, and we're praying for the swift recovery of the wounded; some are horrifically wounded."
Earlier this week, Trump paid tribute to one of the heroes of the Bondi Beach terror attack, Ahmed El Ahmed.
The hero bystander, who helped disarm one of the alleged gunmen, has been undergoing surgery at St George Hospital in the city's south.

"It's been a very, very brave person, actually, who went and attacked frontally, one of the shooters, and saved a lot of lives," Trump said earlier this week.
"So very brave person who's right now in the hospital, pretty seriously wounded."
Major global cities around the world are increasing security in the wake of the terror attack.
The number of police is being bolstered on the streets, around synangogues and Hannukah events in many countries to ensure the Jewish community feels safe.
