EastEnders’ Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) has faced more than most her age, even by Soaplands’ standards!

She was left at the hospital moments after her birth when mum, Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan), convinced that she was stillborn, fled and left Jasmine and her twin brother alone. Hardly a brilliant start, is it?

Though she was adopted, the relationship with her parents soured as Jasmine became a teenager and she was eventually unceremoniously kicked out.

Raw, emotional determined to track down her birth mother, she came across, potentially, the worst person she could’ve, when she met the fabulous-but-evil Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman), who used her well-honed powers of manipulation to twist the poor girls mind further, ensnaring her in a revenge plot against Zoe.

Jasmine made an enemy of another super-bitch, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) in the mean time, driving a big, fat wedge between herself and boyfriend Oscar Branning’s (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) family, before finally revealing her true identity to Zoe in a toxic Christmas Day showdown…moments after the murder of her dad, Anthony Trueman (Nicholas Bailey).

Honestly, between meeting Chrissie before her mum and discovering Anthony was her dad just after he was bumped off…Jas’ timing is just the worst!

Though Zoe and Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) are convinced that Chrissie is to blame for Anthony’s death, with Zoe unconscious before the killing blow took place, Zoe is reluctant to tell the police.

She’s terrified that Chrissie’s inevitable vengeance would put Jasmine in mortal danger and, knowing Chrissie, it definitely would. Meanwhile Kat and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) have gone above and beyond to make Jasmine feel like a part of the Slater/Moon family, she’s struggled to integrate into the crumbling clan.

This week sees newly-discovered grandad, Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker), attempt to re-structure the bridges he’d previously set ablaze with Jasmine after initially rejecting her, though the family’s plans to visit Anthony in the chapel of rest and further clashes with Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) and Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) do little but encourage Jasmine to continue to spiral.

Next week sees Zoe continue to refuse to implicate Chrissie in Anthony’s death, though in the face of a desperate Kat, Jasmine agrees to give the police a statement.

Surely this will mean the case will fall apart and Zoe will be set free, right? Well, in an ideal world.

The problem, however, is that Jasmine has no intention of making a statement. The only thing she’s got on her mind is escape, and she wants to take Oscar with her.

Oscar, however, isn’t keen on leaving his family behind and, when his dad Max Branning (Jake Wood), unwilling to let his son go after so long apart, sticks his beak in, battle lines are drawn between he and Jasmine.

Chrissie, Cindy…and now Max? Jasmine sure does have a penchant for making enemies of Walford’s biggest baddies, doesn’t she?

While Jasmine lies to Kat that she’s made her statement, the battle between Max and Jasmine reaches Oscar. At this point totally desperate to keep her boyfriend onside, Jasmine does a truly unthinkable bombshell in an attempt to vanquish Max. Though Max attempts to defend himself, her strike pays dividends and Jasmine’s like a shark that smells blood, doubling down on her claims in an effort to destroy him.

Retreating to lick his wounds, Max is shaken all over again when an unlikely ally offers to help him rid Albert Square of Jasmine once and for all, but can they do so before Jasmine and Oscar scarper?
