Police suspect arson after three trucks were found ablaze early Thursday morning in Montreal’s St-Laurent borough.

Around 1:30 a.m., authorities received a 911 call reporting trucks on fire in an outdoor parking lot, Montreal police spokesperson Manuel Couture said.

Firefighters arrived at the scene on St-François Rd. near Donahue St., he said, where they found “three trucks engulfed in flames” and worked to extinguish the fire.

Investigators found incendiary materials at the scene, Couture said, leading police to suspect arson.

Alongside the three trucks, the fire damaged 10 other vehicles, he said, but no injuries were reported.

The Montreal police arson unit is investigating, Couture said. No arrests have been made.
