Nineteen years after President APJ Abdul Kalam held his hand, Lieutenant Harmanmeet Singh, a fourth-generation soldier, was commissioned into the Indian Army. Following in his father's footsteps, the 22-year-old achieved his lifelong dream, continuing a proud family legacy of service. He will serve with the 6 Maratha Light Infantry, the same regiment commanded by his father.
