- George Clarke is a finalist on Strictly Come Dancing 2025, competing with professional dancer Alexis Warr.
- George’s father gives the YouTube star an unexpected connection to two of Britain’s best-loved animated characters.
- George’s girlfriend, Yasmin Amelia, is a model and has been supporting him during the competition.
George Clarke could be just days away from winning Strictly Come Dancing – but did you know about his Wallace & Gromit connection?
The TV personality and social media star, 26, will compete for the Glitterball trophy against former England footballer Karen Carney and former Love Island contestant Amber Davies.
George and Karen have both managed to avoid doing a dance-off throughout the series, and are apparently neck-and-neck with bookmakers.
The internet star came into the series after amassing millions of views across YouTube and TikTok, but a few of Strictly’s older viewers did confess to not knowing him before the competition began this year.

However, those same older Strictly viewers definitely know him now – and they’ll also likely be familiar with George’s famous dad.
So, who is George Clarke’s famous dad, and where does his unexpected relationship with animated heroes Wallace & Gromit come from?
Who are George Clarke’s parents?
Unbelievably, George Clarke’s dad is Sean Clarke, the managing director of Aardman Studios, famous for Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, and other animated characters.
Sean Clarke joined Aardman in 1998, just after the three original Wallace & Gromit shorts – A Grand Day Out, The Wrong Trousers, and A Close Shave – had been released.
He helped to grow the Aardman brand internationally during his first decade at the animation house, and in 2008, he was made head of rights and brand development.
Sean also served as a co-executive producer on the 2018 Aardman film Early Man, both Shaun the Sheep films, and the 2021 short film Robin Robin.
George is an ambassador for Encephalitis International after his mum was severely affected by the disease in 2015, having to learn to walk and talk again.
Is he dating anyone?
George Clarke’s girlfriend has appeared a few times on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, sitting in the live audience and watching her partner reach the final.
Her name is Yasmin Amelia. Yasmin is a model, signed to J’Adore Models, who recently graduated from her fashion communication course at university in Northumbria.

George Clarke

Amber Davies
George announced his relationship with Yasmin a little while ago, with the two having apparently been together for six months now.
He said of their relationship during a livestream: ‘I’ve always said I don’t want it to be… if I did have a relationship, I wouldn’t want it to be a public thing.
‘But I feel like it’s just a nicer feeling to have it be known [but still] be private, as opposed to it being a complete secret.’
What has he said about the Strictly final?
George will take to the floor with professional dancing partner Alexis Warr on Saturday, bidding to become the Strictly Come Dancing champion of 2025.
Speaking about potentially getting through the semi-final, George said on Instagram: ‘Honestly, last night was hands down the most fun we’ve had this whole competition.
‘The general theme for us throughout has been to let go, and I think it’s safe to say we did! We are so so grateful always for the support and for the opportunity each week to be able to grow and learn.’
He continued: ‘Now we’re one results show away from the final. I’m (George) not a performer, never mind dancer, but I think nights like last night make me believe that may be changing.’
Watch the Strictly Come Dancing grand final. BBC One, December 20, 7pm.
