RAFO marks annual day today

Muscat – The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) is set to celebrate its Annual Day on Sunday, January 25. The ceremony will be held under the patronage of H H Sayyid Dr Kamil bin Fahad al Said, Secretary-General at Secretariat General of Council of Ministers, marking a significant milestone in the Sultanate’s military calendar.

This annual occasion serves as a tribute to the continuous support and royal attention bestowed upon the air force by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. It highlights the extensive modernisation and development achieved across various airbases, as well as the successful enhancement of national human resources through advanced training and qualification programmes. These efforts have ensured that the force remains fully equipped to carry out its national duties and support the Sultanate’s comprehensive development.

The celebration will feature a graduation ceremony for several groups of personnel, including the basic officer cadets, limited service officers, and university graduates. This event underscores the RAFO’s commitment to maintaining a highly skilled and professional force capable of safeguarding the nation’s skies and contributing to the renewed renaissance of Oman.
