The Oklahoma Sooners had a big week with wins over No. 2 South Carolina and Auburn. They got back on the right side of the win column after a three-game losing streak and improved their record to 16-4 and 4-3 in the SEC. Oklahoma is the No. 2 scoring offense in the SEC, led by freshman star Aaliyah Chavez, but their defense has been a large part of their success too, led by senior Raegan Beers.

Beers was named to the Naismith Trophy Defensive Player of the Year watch list. Beers leads the Sooners with 11.1 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game. She leads the SEC in rebounding and is 12th in the conference in blocks per game.

The Sooners lead the SEC in field goal percentage allowed at .323, and that's in large part due to Beers' presence in the middle.

Beers and the Sooners will be tested by matchups against Texas A&M, No. 4 Texas, and No. 6 Vanderbilt over the next 12 days.
