The People’s Liberation Army began a second day of large-scale drills around Taiwan on Tuesday with a live-fire exercise in waters to the north of the island.
Senior Captain Li Xi, a spokesman for the PLA Eastern Theatre Command, said the exercise involved long-range firepower and was conducted by ground forces who achieved the intended results.
