Maharashtra minister Manikrao Kokate resigned after a court issued arrest warrants in a 1995 housing quota case. Deputy CM Ajit Pawar accepted the resignation in principle, forwarding it to CM Devendra Fadnavis. The Governor has now allocated Kokate's former ministries to Pawar. This follows a similar incident with another NCP politician.
