Five-star quarterback recruit Elijah Haven has received a projection, from 247Sports, to commit to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Haven recently announced his top four schools and included the Georgia Bulldogs, Florida Gators, Auburn Tigers and Alabama.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pound quarterback plays high school football for Dunham School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Despite his proximity to LSU's campus, Haven does not have LSU among his top schools.

Haven is ranked as the second-best recruit in the class of 2027. He's the No. 1 quarterback recruit and the No. 1 player in Louisiana in the 2027 recruiting cycle.

Haven was the Louisiana player of the year in 2025. He had a historic 2025 season, setting Louisiana high-school state records with 62 passing touchdowns and 73 total touchdowns. Haven is a touchdown machine and produced over 100 total touchdowns during his freshman and sophomore seasons (2023 and 2024).

Haven has a big frame and excellent mobility. He is a true dual-threat quarterback that is still comfortable in the pocket. Haven has a strong arm and good deep accuracy. He plays against a low level of high school competition, so it may take him some time to adjust to college football.

Coach Kirby Smart and Georgia football have five commitments in the class of 2027, but none at quarterback. The Bulldogs have the nation's No. 8 recruiting class. Haven could be Georgia's quarterback of the future if the 247Sports prediction for him turns out to be wrong.

Another potential Georgia quarterback is Jayden Wade, who is a five-star recruit that is a member of the class of 2028. Wade could look to reclassify into the class of 2027.
