Muscat – The Ministry of Health (MoH) has issued an urgent public advisory regarding the voluntary recall of a specific batch of Aptamil Advance PDF 1 EA 4x400G baby formula from the Omani market. This directive follows recent communication from the manufacturer, NUTRICIA (Danone), concerning a single production batch found in local circulation.
The alert specifically targets batch number 2026.11.08, which was produced on May 9, 2025 and is marked with an expiry date of November 8, 2026. While the Ministry has confirmed that no medical cases or illnesses related to this product have been recorded thus far, the recall is being executed as a necessary precaution to protect public health. Authorities have strongly advised citizens and residents to immediately cease using this product if it matches the identified batch.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Health recommends the safe disposal of the affected formula. Parents and caregivers are urged to monitor their infants for any adverse symptoms, such as vomiting, nausea, or abdominal pain, and to seek immediate consultation at the nearest health facility should such signs appear. The Ministry is currently coordinating with the relevant distributing company to ensure the swift and complete withdrawal of this batch from all points of sale across the Sultanate.
