The Michigan State women’s basketball team drew a No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament and will open against No. 10 Harvard in a game that will be played at N.C. State, which is hosting the first two rounds in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Michigan State (21-9) has made the NCAA Tournament for a second consecutive season, making head coach Robyn Fralick the first coach in program history to boast that feat in her first two seasons.
The winner of MSU-Harvard will play against the winner of No. 2 N.C. State (26-6) and No. 15 Vermont (21-12), in a second-round game next Monday.
Harvard (24-4) is coached by Detroit Country Day grad Carrie Moore, a former assistant at Michigan. Harvard set a program record for wins.
The Spartans, who have lost six of 10 and haven’t won back-to-back games since January, are led by senior point guard Julia Ayrault (14.8 points, 7.4 rebounds), a former Grosse Pointe North star, and junior forward Grace VanSlooten (15.4 points, 7.0 rebounds). Junior guard Theryn Hallock, a junior guard from Grand Rapids, averages 13.7 points.
Also in the pod at N.C. State, No. 3 LSU (28-5) plays No. 14 San Diego State (25-9), and No. 6 Florida State (23-8) plays No. 11 George Mason (27-5).
