Manchester United dropped more points at home after being held to a draw against the Premier League’s bottom side against Wolves.

Ruben Amorim’s side have drifted from careless to downright woeful in front of their own fans recently, losing to Everton and dropping points against West Ham and Bournemouth.

Tuesday’s draw with Wolves, who had collected just two points from 18 games before tonight, was the worst of the bunch with the hosts lifeless again at Old Trafford.

United showed some green shoots of recovery against Newcastle United on Friday on a night where Ruben Amorim finally moved away from his three at the back system for the first time.

Despite talking up changing systems, Amorim reverted back to his 3-4-3 formation against Wolves – with his side looking slow and devoid of ideas from the start.

United got a fortuitous opener through Joshua Zirkzee after 27 minutes with his effort taking a huge deflection to beat the goalkeeper.

The hosts failed to build on that lead and were caught out just before half-time with Ladislav Krejčí heading home an equaliser.

Zirkzee was replaced by Jack Fletcher at half-time, one of six United academy graduates on the bench.

But United’s attacking efforts grew staler as the game wore on with Wolves the better team for large portions of the game.
