An update has been delivered regarding the EastEnders employee who survived falling from an 11-storey building.
Connor works as an electrician on the BBC One soap, and suffered a devastating incident while in Colombia over Christmas.
He fell from an 11-storey building, and then spent nine days in a coma and had multiple life-saving surgeries. His mum has said it’s a ‘miracle’ he survived.
Connor’s family are trying to raise money in order to cover his medical bills.
So far, over £30,000 has been donated on the GoFundMe page. The goal at the moment is set at £35k.
Victoria, who set up the fundraiser, has been posting regular updates on Connor’s condition. Yesterday, she shared that Connor is ‘out of ICU’ and is ‘overwhelmed by everyone’s love and support’.
The message read: ‘He has now been weaned from the sedation and oxygen and is out of ICU. He has been sitting up in bed and is able to eat soft foods.
‘Denise [Connor’s mum] is still with him in Colombia, and he is aware of the GoFundMe and is overwhelmed by everyone’s love and support. He is alert and in good spirits, which is remarkable considering his injuries.’
‘He is still waiting on the surgeries that he needs for his fractures. We are liaising with the hospital to try and get him the care that he needs to be able to fly home, but for the time being, he remains in hospital in Colombia. Thank you all so much for your support and well wishes during this immensely difficult and stressful time.
‘Love Denise and family xxx.’
This week, Connor’s friend and colleague Jake Wood, who plays Max Branning in the show, shared the GoFundMe page on his Instagram and urged fans to donate if they can.
He said: ‘Connor one of our work colleagues, who works as an electrician on the set, has had a terrible accident over Christmas in Colombia, falling 11 floors from a roof and was in a coma for nine days.

‘It’s a miracle that he has survived. He has a family and his mum has flown out to be with him.’
Jake added: ‘Here is the link to a GoFundMe page that has been set up in his name as money is desperately needed to pay for medical bills, and to hopefully get him home.
‘He is a top man and respected by everyone here who works at the studios. Please help if you can, thank you.’
Stars from EastEnders who have donated so far include Jake, Scott Maslen, Jessie Wallace, Diane Parish, Gillian Taylforth, Emma Barton, Colin Salmon, and Adam Woodyatt.
