League of Legends streamer Konrad “Kaseko” Szewczak was an official LEC co-streamer for all of two days before his co-streaming rights were revoked over a transphobic tweet.
On January 23rd, Kaseko sent a tweet to transgender League of Legends player ImLexa about her genitals. Kaseko has since claimed that ImLexa initially called his teammate a “nazi” and “pedophile,” prompting him to attack her back.
“That post went so viral that some people took my words as transphobic, and I don’t have any ‘phobia’ for f***s sake,” Kaseko said on stream.
Uh, yep. Take a look for yourself.

It’s hard to come up with a context where this isn’t transphobic, inappropriate, or invasive. A more well-adjusted person would probably make a comment about ImLexa’s behavior during the match if they felt the need to defend their friend, not imagine their private parts. On Reddit, many League of Legends fans also commented on Kaseko’s response to the ban, which seemed to show that he had “learned nothing” from the punishment.
Esports scene continues to be full of degenerates
But this is the gaming world we’re talking about, so you can bet your bottom dollar that there were people in support of Kaseko as well. Many felt that other countries were being too sensitive about Kaseko’s comments. Some even said they would refuse to watch the LEC without Kaseko co-streaming, even though he hadn’t been a co-streamer for more than 2 days.
It’s difficult to pretend this was just a misunderstanding or taken out of context from an otherwise wholesome and upstanding member of the League of Legends community. In 2022, while Kaseko was Head Coach for Ultraliga, Riot Games suspended him for a year after an investigation into his boosting and in-game toxicity.
It feels like women in esports just can’t catch a break these days. Recently, incels were having a meltdown over a trans woman winning the Milk Cup, a Fortnite tournament they were not even interested in watching anyway.
Earlier, prominent League of Legends player Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau recently rambled on about women’s periods stopping them from competing in tournaments. The result was a slap on the wrist despite Bwipo spreading harmful rhetoric about women during a time when the women’s scene is struggling to be taken seriously.
