It’s been almost three decades, but Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Squares still take me back to the 90s every time I see one.

The marshmallow treats were such a classic lunch box staple back in the day, and continue to be an iconic snack for kids and adults alike today.

And for 2026, it seems they’re getting a seasonal makeover for the very first time, as Kellogg’s has just unveiled a brand new Easter version of the product.

Limited-edition Crushed Mini Eggs & Chocolate flavour Squares bars have recently hit the shelves in Tesco supermarkets, priced at £2.25 for a pack of four.

The product features the classic Rice Krispies cereal base, mixed with a chocolate syrup, then topped with crushed mini eggs and a chocolate drizzle on top.

It’s worth noting here that when we say mini eggs, in this instance, we aren’t talking about the Cadbury ones.

Holly Wright, senior brand activation manager at Kellogg’s, said: ‘Squares fans love discovering new flavours, and this spring we’re thrilled to introduce our very first Easter-inspired Rice Krispies Squares.

‘Featuring the perfect blend of rich chocolate and crunchy crushed mini eggs, this limited-edition treat is set to create excitement in-store and deliver a burst of joy to shoppers’ taste buds.’

And fans are excited – on social media, Jamie Kimberley said: ‘These would be really nice.’

Similarly, Megan Cornes wrote: ‘Need to try these.’

While Hannah Lawson thought they ‘look amazing’and Elisha Holmes commented that they ‘look yummy’.

This isn’t the only new product Kellogg’s has launched of late, with the cereal brand recently introducing a new twist on its ‘best’ breakfast treat.

At the start of January, they dropped limited-edition hot honey cereal, known as Cruncy Nut Hot Honey Crunchies.

The Crunchies are one of the UK’s first-ever spicy cereals to land on supermarket shelves, and when they arrive, you’ll be able to find them in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda and Morrisons, as well as at selected independent retailers, for £3.50 a box.

Kellogg’s says they were inspired to create the quirky new product because of the ‘swicy’ (sweet and spicy) trend that’s been doing the rounds online for a while.

They continued: ‘This is cereal as you’ve never seen before. Think golden honey-coated curls with a whisper of chilli warmth.

‘It’s sweet, it’s spicy, it’s everything your breakfast bowl didn’t know it needed.’
