If you’re anything like us and have been obsessing over the red carpet photos of Margot Robbie at the Wuthering Heights premieres, or furiously googling how to get her perfectly flushed cheeks in the film, we’ve got you covered.
There’s a distinct Victorian grandeur to her makeup, with a pared back, pale complexion and nude eyeshadow, coupled with a generous natural pink flush, and we’ve got all the details of the exact products you need to do the same.
The film’s award-winning hair and makeup designer, Siân Miller, revealed that the blush used on Robbie is the N°1 de Chanel Cheek and Lip Balm, £42, – which is also what Robbie’s makeup artist Pati Dubroff used on Margot during the worldwide press tour.
Dubroff took to her Instagram to share the entire makeup look she has created for Robbie on each stop on the film’s whirlwind tour. Here’s every single step so you can recreate it for yourself.
Margot Robbie’s MUA technique for flushed cheeks
‘First up, I made her skin kind of even, not too much foundation at all. I contoured the eye just a little bit with Chanel Stylo Ombre Et Contour in Contour Clair, £35, that I love so much and a nude shade on the centre of the lid. Then one coat of black mascara. I kept that really simple because we really want the blush to pop.’
Using N°1 de Chanel Cheek and Lip Balm pots in Berry Boost and Red Camellia, Dubroff explained she took a little bit of each, blended them with her finger and then a stipling brush on the back of her hand, and applied onto cheeks creating a windswept flush on the apple of Robbie’s cheeks and bit below, flushing outward. She then took a flat foundation brush to soften any harsh edges by lightly tapping it around the blush, and added the tiniest ‘whisper of loose powder over the top’.

N°1 de Chanel Cheek and Lip Balm
This creamy, mulit-purpose balm is what Margot Robbie wore in Wuthering Heights and on the red carpet film premiered. It gives a dewy, plump look without any stickinessm and Robbie’s MUA mixed together the shades Berry Boost and Red Camellia to get that signature flushed look.

Using a fluffy brush, she applied short, feathery strokes and cleaned up any edges to perfect a soft-focus finish.
The final step was to dab on Chanel’s Baume Essentiel Multi-Use Glow Stick, £38, using a dewy shade of pink called Rosée, on the top of the cheekbone to add some glow. Rounding off Robbie’s makeup was a swipe of the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet, £42, in the shade 60 Intemporelle, which Dubroff describes as a ‘perfect nude’.

While we can’t get enough fo the maximilist flush look created by Dubroff and Miller, Chanel can be eye-wateringly expensive. That’s why we’ve found the budget-friendly options that are similar in texture, colour payoff and finish, all without breaking the bank. Here’s our top picks…

Tower28 beachplease
Tower28’s cream blushes add a light, but buildable layer of colour to cheeks with a dewy, radiant finish that doesn’t budge. The shade Office Hours is a very close match to Chanel’s much pricer option.
