For the last six years, Krispy Kreme fans have been begging the doughnut chain for one thing and one thing only… Strawberry Gloss.

The iconic sweet treat was literally sparkly lip gloss in doughnut form – if Barbie were reimagined as a doughnut, it would be this one.

But alas, the product was discontinued in 2020, and ever since, Krispy Kreme lovers have been flooding social media with demands for its return.

‘Please bring these back, I genuinely cannot enjoy any other doughnut since they left,’ @lxkefox shared on Instagram.

Similarly, @emb09 said: ‘I don’t understand why you don’t make this a permanent part of the line-up. Every other doughnut pales in comparison [to this], I’d be buying them non-stop if they were available.’

And @sam_instaa.2 posted: ‘PLEASE bring this back, it was my favourite thing ever, I have never tasted something so delectable as this.’

If you, too, have been missing the Strawberry Gloss doughnut, we have some good news: It’s FINALLY coming back.

When is Krispy Kreme’s Strawberry Gloss Doughnut returning?

Krispy Kreme has confirmed its ‘most requested’ doughnut will return to shops nationwide for a limited-time only.

Brits will be able to purchase Strawberry Gloss from February 7 to February 14, making it the perfect treat for Galentine’s Day or Valentine’s Day.

The doughnut will cost £3.19, and it will join the Hugs and Hearts doughnut range to celebrate the romantic holiday. As part of this, all filled doughnuts will be converted into heart shapes.

But this isn’t the only thing launching – Krispy Kreme is also introducing a limited-edition pink drink at its Westfield Stratford store, which will be transformed into Cupid’s HQ on February 7.

And there’s a new Strawberry Gloss lip gloss launching, for those who have always wanted to wear the pink glaze on their pout.

The first 500 people in line at Westfield Stratford on the 7 will be able to redeem a free strawberry gloss doughnut, lip gloss and a limited-edition pink drink, plus enjoy music, a photo booth and the opportunity to spin to win an extra doughnut or lip gloss with every purchase.

Speaking about the doughnut’s return, Guy Meakin, the president of Krispy Kreme UK & IRE said: ‘Krispy Kreme is celebrating the joy of love in every bite, because everyone deserves a little sweetness this Valentine’s Day.

‘Strawberry Gloss is our most requested bring-back, so we’re excited to see fans fall in love again with its sparkling indulgence. For what better way to celebrate the power of love in its every form than by sharing these doughlightful treats with those who sweeten our lives?’
