Natasza Dudek, a sophomore from Ann Arbor Pioneer High School in Michigan, has been named the Gatorade National Girls Cross Country Player of the Year after completing one of the most dominant seasons in U.S. prep history.

Dudek became the first high school girl ever to win both Nike Cross Nationals and the Brooks Cross Country Championships in the same season, taking each title by 1.6 seconds. She also captured the Michigan Division 1 state championship in a blistering 16 minutes, 9.5 seconds, breaking the course record by more than 23 seconds.

Her undefeated 13–0 campaign included course records at the NXN Midwest Regional and multiple national No. 1 rankings. Dudek, a 4.0 student active in Science Olympiad and community service, is only the third sophomore to win either national title, making her dual sweep even more historic.
